WASC Visit 2015


Vista Nueva High School had its WASC visit Monday on March 9th, 2015. The observation and comment about our students was,

"The Visiting Committee noted that students were polite, helpful, articulate, and engaging."

Red Ribbon Week Is Spirit Week! Important Dates! 10/29/2018-11/02/2018

Make sure you dress up to participate in our annual Red Ribbon Week! (Make sure all outfits are school appropriate)


There will be daily drawings for participation!


Monday-10/29-Pajama Day


Tuesday- 10/30- Sports Day


Wednesday- 10/31- Fast Forward (Dress as your future career aspiration) 


Thursday- 11/1- Superhero/Character T-Shirt Day


Friday- 11/2- Black Out Day (Wear black to mourn those who have lost their lives to drugs and/or alcohol)


On Friday, the Spirit King and Spirit Queen (MUST HAVE DRESSED UP EVERYDAY) will be announced, crowned, and your picture taken for the yearbook and website. Also, the winners will receive a Starbucks gift-card! 

Back To School Night 18/19

Can you believe another school year is upon us? Come out to Vista Nueva's annual Back To School night on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm! We will have entertainment and dinner will be served. Come out and meet your child's teachers and staff, and tour classrooms! We hope to see you there! 

Welcome Back News 2018/2019

We hope you have had a restful and fun-filled summer break, here is some handy information regarding the 2018-2019 school year that begins on Monday, August 20th, 2018 @ 8:30 a.m! 


Registration/Re-Enrollment: July 30th to August 16th 2018- Hours are 7 am to 2 pm. Please contact the Registrar to schedule an appointment time that works for you between those hours @ 916-566-2750, ext. 24718. *Re-enrollment paperwork is required each year.


Schedule Pick-up: Friday, August 17th, from 7 am to 2 pm. 


First Day of School: Monday, August 20th, 2018 @ 8:30 a.m 

2018 CET Construction Trades Shed Competition

Vista Nueva is so proud of our students who competed in this years SRBX/CET Shed Competition! Over the span of the 2 days, Jennifer Contreras, Raul Guerrero, Thomas Johnson, Daniel Vice, and Jesus Figueroa used all the skills they have picked up over the year and created magic! Under the direction of their instructor/teacher Mr. Matt Kelly, the students completed the shed! Jennifer Contreras was chosen to be on a segment for News 10! Please take a moment to share in our joy and watch the clip that aired.

Hello Twin Rivers Families,


We will have our second Swun Math Parent & Guardian Night at our district office on Monday, February 26th from 5:30-6:30 pm. Representatives from Swun Math will introduce techniques on how to support our students with their subtraction and division facts and provide some foundational strategies seen in grades K-5. 


Our district office is located t 5115 Dudley Blvd, @ McClellan Park


Light refreshments, child care, and Spanish interpretation will be provided.

SAT's will be offered to Vista Nueva High School SENIORS on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017


PSAT's will be offered to JUNIORS and SOPHOMORES also on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017


PSAT's will be offered to NOVA Opportunity FRESHMAN and 8th graders October 11th, 2017


We will provide all testing materials, please come rested and eat a nourishing breakfast. There is a STRICT NO CELL PHONE USE POLICY while testing.
